OVERVIEW

This workshop teaches "the game" from UCB sketch comedy and you’ll learn to write short comedic scenes and explore character, different methods for turning funny ideas even funnier. Plus learn about social media creation. You’ll leave the class with an understanding of everything listed plus skills in acting & video editing for the phone.

TEACHER

Larry Dorsey Jr. has graced the stage with the Tony award winning Broadway musical Freestyle Love Supreme (Lin Manuel Miranda). He is a San Francisco Cali Native who has traveled the world performing/teaching improv + stand-up comedy, he is currently on a UCB house sketch team, formerly an iHeartRadio personality, and has in some capacity worked with numerous celebrities including: Craig Robinson and Tommy Davidson. He graduated from SF State University in Creative Writing, Academy of Art University in Motion Pictures & Television, as well as the Meisner Technique Studio 2 year acting intensive program. In his free time he creates content for social media.
